Brooklyn-based artist Charlotte Rose Benjamin self-released her debut album Dreamtina. Taking influence from the likes of Liz Phair, Sheryl Crow and Courtney Barnett, Benjamin pairs roaring guitars with blunt and honest lyrics about love and heartache and the blurred line in between. Benjamin has also released a music video for her single “Louis.”

In Season 7 at The Studio, for the first time, all four of their productions are set in the past. Although they are contemporary works, the settings span from the turn of the 19th century to the 1980s. Many of the conflicts in these plays parallel modern issues we still face today. Each story is focused on characters demanding to be seen and understood for who they are.

New writing duo Golby and West are  developing their first full length musical For You I'd Wait ahead of a 2 week performance run in May at The Turbine Theatre.

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) announced that Gregory Doran will step down as Artistic Director from today after 35 years with the Company including the last ten years as Artistic Director.

Theater in Asylum, a New York-based ensemble-driven independent theater company, today announced the latest endeavor in the Company's cabaret series, The FTP Cabaret, a night of theater, dance, music and poetry inspired by the legacy of the Federal Theatre Project. The show will run from Friday, May 13, 2022 through Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Jalopy Theatre in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

New York Classical Players will present two performances of Hommage à J.S. Bach, featuring the U.S. premiere of Vivian Fung's Concerto for Two Violins and String Orchestra, as well as Eric Nathan's Dancing with J. S. Bach No. 1, both of which draw inspiration from Bach's musical innovations.

The tour will be the band’s first since the pandemic and will follow their performance at this year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival where they’re confirmed to play on June 18th alongside Tool, Flume, 21 Savage, Tobe Nwigwe, Mt. Joy, 100 Gecs and more. Check out the full list of tour dates now!

White has also premiered the official music video for “What’s The Trick?” today on Facebook. The video is directed by Jason Lester (Wallows, Rostam, Animal Collective) and features some notable Nashville faces and places, including Regina McCrary (of the McCrary Sisters), singer-songwriter Adia Victoria, and singer-songwriter-actress Lola Kirke.

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced performers and presenters for A Celebration of the Musicals of Harold Prince, this season’s annual Gala benefit production. The evening will take place at The Town Hall (123 W 43rd St, New York, NY 10036) on Monday June 13, 2022, at 7pm and will honor Loretta Brennan Glucksman.

Waitress is returning to Charlotte for a special five-week engagement, beginning today, April 19, through May 22, 2022 in the Booth Playhouse! The run will be followed by a five-week engagement at Cleveland's Playhouse Square May 26-June 26, 2022 in the Hanna Theatre.
