Chosen as its holiday season family special, this regional production of CINDERELLA, directed by Michael Barnard, is a prime example of the excellence that The Phoenix Theatre Company has developed over the years. Runs through January 1st.

Donelle Dadigan (Founder/President of the Hollywood Museum in the Historic Max Factor Bldg) brought the cast of TV’s most celebrated family, THE WALTONS, together at the Hollywood Museum for an afternoon of fun and photos with fans. Following a cast Q&A with emcee, Hollywood film and TV critic, Leonard Maltin, fans experienced The Waltons Exhibit, with full support and participation by Warner Brothers Archivists.

On Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 10:30pm, the New York Philharmonic presents the TAK Ensemble, in a Nightcap concert at the brand-new Kenneth C. Griffin Sidewalk Studio at David Geffen Hall. Currently celebrating its 10th anniversary as “one of the most prominent ensembles in the United States practicing truly experimental music” (I Care If You Listen), the contemporary classical quintet TAK performs a world premiere by composer and multi-instrumentalist Tyshawn Sorey, co-commissioned by the New York Philharmonic.

Musical Theatre West has announced the cast of its final production of the season, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella. With an enchanting ensemble that boasts talent seen on Broadway, National Tours, stage and screen, the updated take on this favorite fairytale will set the scene of holiday magic for the whole family.

Produced by Carlos De La Garza (Paramore, The Linda Lindas, Best Coast) the expanded EP features four additional tracks including lead single “JFK” that pairs melodramatic lyrics and borderline emo sentiment, and a reimagined dream-pop version of title track “Homesick” remixed by Los Angeles indie-pop duo slenderbodies (Max Vehuni & Benji Cormack).

The latest rendition offers a stripped down, piano version of the song showcasing Britney’s vocal abilities. Accompanying the song release is a beautiful music video featuring Olympic Gold Medalist Nathan Chen ice skating to a routine he choreographed himself.

The Philharmonia Orchestra have announced the appointment of two new trustees, Charlotte Hogg and Johanne Hudson-Lett. The new trustees join the Board for an initial three-year term. 

The Shed announced the continuation of its three-year partnership with Artistic Director Troy Anthony and The Fire Ensemble to foster community-building, intersectional artistic practice, and resource sharing with a new musical work, To Feel A Thing: A Ritual For Emergence by award-winning author and resident artist adrienne maree brown (Emergent Strategy, Pleasure Activism).

What did our critic think of CINDERELLA at PCPA's Marian Theater?

In spring 2023, the Milwaukee Art Museum will present Scandinavian Design and the United States, 1890–1980, the first exhibition to examine the extensive design exchanges between the United States and the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden during the 20th century.

The album was written and produced by carobae as well as songs co-written and co-produced with Brandon Shoop (sophie cates, Quinn XCII), Sean Kennedy (UPSAHL, Role Model, Nessa Barrett), Lauren Mandel (LØLØ, TALK, Maggie Lindemann, MOTHICA), Raziel (Siiickbrain, Poutyface, Slush Puppy) and Megan Redmond (Taylor Edwards, Charlotte Sands, Taela).

This new production of Home, I'm Darling opens at the Theatre Royal Windsor on 25 January 2023, prior to the play's first extensive national tour. Leading the cast are BAFTA award winner Jessica Ransom (Doc Martin, Armstrong and Miller, Horrible Histories) as Judy, Diane Keen (Doctors, The Cuckoo Waltz) as Sylvia and Neil McDermott (Eastenders, The Royal) as Johnny, with further casting to be announced.

The European première of Head Over Heels will take place the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester next year. The production opens on 31 January 2023, with previews from 26 January, running until 4 March.

Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, The Enchanted Edition opens December 1 at 7:30 pm in Centenary Stage Company's Sitnik Theatre. Performances will run December 1-11 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ

It can seem a reasonable question to ask of a musical that was so explosively popular that it dominated music charts, history lessons, current-day politics, and social issues all at once - now that some time has passed, is it worth the hype?   Well, the touring production of  HAMILTON now playing at Broadway  San Diego through November  20th yes, the hype is real and it is worth being in the “room where it happens.”
