Dan Hoyle Returns to The Marsh With BORDER PEOPLE

Award-winning actor and playwright Dan Hoyle returns to The Marsh San Francisco with his critically acclaimed hit Border People. Based on Hoyle’s conversations and interviews from the South Bronx housing projects courtyards, refugee safe houses on the Northern Border with Canada, and travels along the Southwestern Border and into Mexico it features 11 monologues of people who live on or across borders both geographic and cultural.

Marsh SF Adds Free WAITING PERIOD Performances In May & July

The Marsh San Francisco has announced additional free performances of award-winning playwright and actor Brian Copeland's The Waiting Period on select dates in May and July 2023. This deeply moving and surprisingly funny work outlines Copeland's own struggles with depression and suicidal thought, and is presented at no cost to remove all barriers for those who may be struggling with depression themselves.

The Marsh Berkeley to Present Fred Pitts in AREN'T YOU…? Beginning Next Month

The Marsh Berkeley will present Fred Pitts' lauded solo work Aren't You…? which recounts his hilarious journey to visit all 21 California Mission churches, where he discovers that being black makes him an instant celebrity – the question is which one? The piece follows Pitts on a summer-long tour to one Mission after the next, encountering docents and fellow tourists.

Dan Hoyle's TALK TO YOUR PEOPLE Comes To The Marsh Berkeley, January 28–March 11

Acclaimed actor/playwright Dan Hoyle returns to The Marsh Berkeley with an updated version of his hit show, Talk To Your People, which enjoyed an extended sold-out run in San Francisco last summer. With his trademark ability to shapeshift onstage, Dan Hoyle revisits the panoply of vivid characters he created this show.

Due to popular demand, The Marsh San Francisco has announced the second extension of GRANDMA & ME: An Ode to Single Parents. Dedicated to the memory of Copeland’s grandmother, Lena Mae Arbee, GRANDMA & ME: An Ode to Single Parents has been extended through December 10, 2022.
