The 17th Annual Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival, scheduled to be held June 13 - 14, announced three theatres coming together in the Rocky Mountains to develop new works. Actors Theatre of Louisville (Kentucky), Primary Stages (New York) and South Coast Repertory (California) are confirmed for the festival that is presented under Artistic Director Andrew Leynse (Artistic Director, Primary Stages), Producer and Director of Theatre Emily Tarquin (Denver Center Theatre Company, CO) and Executive Producer Jim Steinberg. The festival is sponsored by The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust.
Celebrated theatre and opera director Anne Bogart, an artistic director of SITI Company and professor at Columbia University, will be discussing the future of theatre on May 19th at the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center. Bogart, an award-winning theatre maker and co-founder of SITI Company will be reading from selections of her new book: What's the Story: Essays about art, theatre, and storytelling and discussing her work with playwright Charles Mee.

Each year, the Tony Awards Administration Committee presents a Tony Award to a regional theatre on the recommendation of the American Theatre Critics Association. The 2014 Tony Awards, which are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 8, 2014.
The Actors' Gang, the critically acclaimed Los Angeles based ensemble Theatre Company, will be heading overseas bringing William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Academy Award winner Tim Robbins, to international audiences. The production will put on six performances in Beijing, China, June 10th - 15th at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, four performances in Shanghai, China, June 19th - 21st at the Daguan Theatre, Zendai Himalayas Art Center and four to six performances in Italy, June 28th - July 6th at the prestigious Spoleto Festival.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, today announced plans for its 2014/2015 Season. The upcoming season for the esteemed off-Broadway company begins in October with Rodgers & Hammerstein's ALLEGRO, directed by Tony Award-winner and CSC Associate Director John Doyle. ALLEGRO marks the second installment of CSC's Musical Theater Initiative, which launched last year with the company's hugely-successful production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Passion, directed by Doyle. Considered one of Richard Rodgers' and Oscar Hammerstein II's most personal and groundbreaking works, ALLEGRO was their third collaboration and first premiered on Broadway in 1947.
All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, starring BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston, is currently in previews on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre. The production officially opens on Thursday, March 6, 2014 for a strictly limited engagement.
