The new Citadel Theatre season, which kicked off September 22, features many brilliant, accomplished artists - local, national, and international - who will appear on the Citadel stages in the upcoming months.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring), who produced last season's critically acclaimed World Premiere musical Bastard Jones, presents the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN, a musical featuring music & lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives.  Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production stars Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role, with Allie Trimm (13: The Musical and Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway) and Leslie Hiatt. Now in previews, opening is slated for Thursday, October 4.

The Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL, running Nov. 23 to Dec. 24. 

Lifetime has announced the network's It's a Wonderful Lifetime lineup, which features 14 all-new original movies and nine acquired films. Starring in these films includes a slew of Broadway stars such as Megan Hilty, Marrisa Jaret Winokur, and Jane Alexander.

Lifetime sleighs the 2018 holiday season this year with the network's It's a Wonderful Lifetime lineup, featuring 14 all-new original movies and nine acquired films. Playing September 21 to October 21 in the ArtStage Studio Theatre, the run includes four nearly sold out preview performances September 18-20 and stars Broadway and regional theatre veteran, Susan Greenhill, and welcomes back director and longtime Florida Rep ensemble member, Chris Clavelli.

A much-beloved European Christmas tradition is coming to Edmonton. Dickens Fest Edmonton is a new festival that builds on Edmonton's exuberant embrace of its status as a Winter City. The inaugural Dickens Fest Edmonton will take place inside the Citadel Theatre November 30 to December 2, 2018.

Goodman Theatre's commitment to new works and emerging artists continues in its 2018/2019 Season. Today, the Goodman named four Chicago-based writers to its Playwrights Unit-Georgette Kelly, whose play Ballast was featured on The Kilroys List and received the Craig Noel Award for Outstanding New Play; Dianne Nora, a playwright, dramaturg, theater scholar and comedy writer who works in Chicago, Brooklyn and Dublin; Marisela Treviño Orta, semifinalist for the 2018 O'Neill Theater Center National Playwrights Conference and 2019 Kendeda Finalist (Alliance Theatre); and Stacey Rose, whose work has been presented at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, National Black Theatre and more. The Playwrights Unit, in partnership with Chicago Dramatists, meets bi-monthly to discuss their commissioned plays-in-progress with the Goodman's artistic team. The residency culminates in a public staged reading of each new play in Summer 2019.

Bergen County Players, one of America's longest-running little theater companies, recently opened its 86th season with the Five-time Tony Award winning musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

The traditional Christmas staple of Charles Dickens' much loved A Christmas Carol, returns this festive season to the West End stage starring Simon Callow, running at the Arts Theatre for a strictly limited season from 8 December to 12 January.

Matthew Warchus' fourth season as Artistic Director of The Old Vic completes with an Arthur Miller double-bill, a World Premiere by Lucy Prebble and a special One Voice performance. The University of Colorado Boulder theatre division kicks off its fall season with "Great Expectations," a play adapted from the Charles Dickens novel of the same name. The season will also feature the world premiere translation of "Hecuba" from Roe Green Artist Diane Rayor, with mask work by Roe Green Artist Jonathan Becker.
