A TALE OF TWO CITIES Adds Two Performances at Birdland

Tickets for the October 19th and 20th"A Tale of Two Cities" Birdland concerts have sold out and a third and fourth show added at 7:00 pm on Friday October 19thand Saturday October 20th.

The 90-minute concerts will feature "Tale" original Broadway and London cast members and other Broadway vets including James Barbour, Brandi Burkhardt, Ryan Silverman, Natalie Toro, Nick Wyman, J. Mark McVey, Craig Bennett and Ron Sharpe. The musical has book, music and lyrics by Jill Santoriello.

The four shows will be at 7:00 and 9:30 pm on Friday October 19thand Saturday October 20th in Birdland's new 100-seat theatre space. Tickets for the added shows are available at birdlandjazz.com.

The Broadway production of "A Tale of Two Cities" earned an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for Outstanding Broadway Musical as well as an Outstanding Actor nomination for James Barbour.

"A Tale of Two Cities" opened ten years ago on September 18that the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The show was directed and choreographed by Tony award winner Warren Carlyle.

An In-Concert performance of "A Tale of Two Cities" was filmed and recorded in 2009 in Brighton, England and is available on Amazon and iTunes.

"A Tale of Two Cities" has been produced around the world in the United States, UK, Japan, Korea, Australia and Germany and a fourth Korean production is scheduled for Seoul in February 2019.

"A Tale of Two Cities" is based on Charles Dickens' immortal story of two men in love with the same woman, thrust into the chaos and bloodshed of the French Revolution. Dickens' classic of love, revolution and redemption has been inspiring the world for over 150 years
