Following the beloved fantasy hero's August 18th birth date, TheaterWorksUSA and Martian Entertainment are pleased to announce the ten actors who will bring The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical to Broadway this fall, beginning performances Friday, September 20 ahead of a Wednesday, October 16 opening night at the Longacre Theatre (220 W. 48th Street) in a strictly limited 16-week holiday engagement.
Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will begin the 2019-2020 season with the vibrant one-act musical, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND on Sept. 7 in the Marx Theatre. The production will run through Oct. 6, with opening night on Sept. 12.
The cast of 'ANNE FRANK, a musical', based on Anne Frank's life will feature 12 artists on stage to recreate Anne Frank's life filled with the touching music and lyrics written by Jean Pierre Hadida. This production marks the U.S Off-Broadway Premiere of this successful French musical which will be performed for the first time in English (adapted by Dylan Hadida). Directed and produced by David Serero, this new Off-Broadway production will take place at the Center for Jewish History (15 West 16th Street New York 10016), originally produced by Francine Disegni for Broadway Mad Production, Simon & Michal Kalfon.

For 20 years, BAAD! The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, has presented works that are empowering to women, people of color and LGBTQ people. The organization continues its newest program the TransVisionaries Performance Series, a first-ever, Bronx live performance series featuring transgender and GNC (gender non-conforming artists) in free, open to the public performances in South Bronx restaurants that are turned into one-night art centers. The series began in 2017 and ran through the summer of 2018.

The Ally Pankiw-directed video sees CYN leading her devoted followers in a series of rituals against the backdrop of a retro-50s-inspired bowling alley. The video premiered on V Magazine, who championed the song for bringing 'an unexpected grit to her tender persona.' Talking about the video, CYN explains 'The video for 'Holy Roller' is truly a collaboration of all involved resulting in our version of a girl cult with a side of wink,' she continues. 'This video is meant to provoke some thought and definitely meant to make you smile! When I wrote the song, I was trying to relax and not take myself too seriously- the same goes for the video. I was aiming for something true to me, and this video hints at how I was raised and what I believe now.'
