The world premiere of DEE SNIDER'S ROCK & ROLL CHRISTMAS TALE, written by and starring iconic rocker Dee Snider, directed by Adam John Hunter and produced by John B. Yonover in association with Vicki and Bob Liggett, Charles Brennan and Mary and John Cooper, plays the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E Chestnut) now through Jan. 4, 2015. Pentatonix's Kirstin Maldonado and other outstanding artists from the worlds of Broadway, television, film and other mediums came together last night, November 3, 2014 for the fourth annual Broadway Unlocked Give Back Concert an interactive, livestreamed benefit concert celebrating the work of the Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC) of St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. Performers included Kirstin Maldonado, Kate Wetherhead,Barrett Wilbert Weed, Tituss Burgess, Keala Settle, Nathan Tysen & Chris Miller, Kait Kerrigan & Brian Lowdermilk, Joey Contreras, Adam Gwon, Jeff Bowen, Georgia Stitt,Hunter Bell and more, with 5J Barrow returning as the Broadway Unlocked House Band. Robert Callely's ON A STOOL AT THE END OF THE BAR to Premiere at 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters will welcome The Directors Company with ON A STOOL AT THE END OF THE BAR, written by Robert Callely and directed by Michael Parva. ON A STOOL AT THE END OF THE BAR begins performances on Friday, November 14 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 14. Press Opening is Thursday, November 20 at 7:15 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Please note, there is no performance on Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving). Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Today in 2009, Memphis opened at the Shubert Theatre, where it ran for 1165 performances. Memphis is a musical by David Bryan (music and lyrics) and Joe DiPietro (lyrics and book). It is loosely based on Memphis disc jockey Dewey Phillips, one of the first white DJs to play black music in the 1950s. It was staged during the 2003-04 season at both the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, Massachusetts and TheatreWorks in Mountain View, California and opened on Broadway on October 19, 2009. It won the Tony Award for Best Musical, along with three other Tony Awards, at the 2010 Tony Awards.

The AM970 The Answer radio program broadcasts from Lillie's Victorian Establishment at 249 West 49th Street every Wednesday from 12-1 PM. Jamie deRoy night life correspondent once again filled in the lunch time crowd on upcoming cabaret and theatre events. Her own variety show, now in it's 23rd season will take place at Birdland on Monday September 22nd at 7 PM. This years show is an Actors Fund Benefit and features Joy Behar, Stephanie J. Block, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Chad Kimball, Byrce Pinkham and Haley Swindal.
