San Francisco Opera's presentation of Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung) opens tonight with the first of three complete cycles, each presented over the course of one week as the composer originally intended, from June 12 through July 1 at the War Memorial Opera House. Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Dan Cody's Yacht, written by Anthony Giardina and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes, opens tonight - Wednesday, June 6 - at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). Performances began on Tuesday, May 15.
The pre-Broadway engagement of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, has been extended before performances even begin due to popular demand. Originally scheduled to play from June 27 through August, 5, 2018, the production will now run through August 19, for 16 additional performances. The official opening night is Sunday, July 22.
