Cartier Williams is a hoofer, choreographer, filmmaker and performer hailing from Washington, D.C. He began his tap dancing career at the age of four and has been active in the tap dance community ever since. Throughout his career, Cartier has had the opportunity to dance with a multitude of tap pioneers and masters, including Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Peg Leg Bates and the Nicholas Brothers. He has appeared on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' 'The Tonight Show,' 'Good Morning America' and CNN. Cartier has performed for President Clinton, co-starring with Bebe Neuwirth in the PBS special 'In Performance at The White House.' He also performed for President George W. Bush at the 2006 Congressional Picnic at the White House. Cartier is currently continuing to develop multiple musical productions and workshops.

He has taught at Broadway Dance Center and American Tap Dance Foundation in NYC along with many other cities across the country and the world!
A series of live performances - including tap dancing - will take place throughout the summer in conjunction with the exhibit, JAZZED! The Changing Beat of 125th Street at the Children's Museum of Manhattan (CMOM), located at 212 West 83rd Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. The exhibit itself, in partnership with the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, allows visitors to sing along with Ella Fitzgerald in the 'jazz club,' dance up the stairs with Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson's, and meet Duke Ellington and his famous jazz orchestra in the 'ballroom.' The event begins at 7:00 PM with a concert at Carnegie Hall featuring a special lineup of concert artists - including Brooke Shields, Cheyenne Jackson, Christine Ebersole, Kelli O'Hara, Maurice Hines, Cartier Williams and special guest Angela Lansbury - under the baton of Music Director Steven Reineke. The New York Pops will also be joined on stage by the singers of The Camp Broadway Kids and the West Point Glee Club. Following the concert, a black tie dinner and dance will be held at the luxurious Plaza Hotel.
