Encore telecasts of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers” have dominated their broadcast competition for the late-night ratings week of Aug. 25-29.
UP Comedy Club is known for bringing the best stand-up comedy talent in the country to Chicago. This fall's line-up features many of the best-known names in comedy, including UP favorites Kyle Kinane and Greg Proops, returning to the UP stage once again after countless sold-out shows. Also returning to UP are Nick Thune, Moshe Kasher and Dana Gould. Appearing at UP for the first time are Bridget Everett and Dave Hill, Judah Friedlander, Jeff Ross, Yannis Pappas, Jerrod Carmichael and Todd Glass. Each show includes a feature stand-up comic and a local emcee who hosts the evening.
“America's Got Talent” (1.8/6 in 18-49, 8.9 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) won its two-hour time period among the Big 4 in every key demo – adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
Kyle Kinane has been performing stand-up for almost half his life. He has performed at comedy festivals across the U.S., Canada and England. His nights are now occupied with performances at popular venues around the country and as a regular opener for headliners such as Patton Oswalt and Brian Posehn.
NBC tied for #1 for the night among the Big 4 in 18-49, as “American Ninja Warrior” tied for the #1 show of the night on those nets. Despite last week's preemption and this week's Labor Day holiday, “Ninja” was up +6% vs. its prior telecast.
In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,' 2.0/5 with an encore telecast; CBS's 'Late Show with David Letterman,' 1.9/5; and ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' 1.8/5.

'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' has reported its top ratings results in nine weeks. Averaging a 1.14 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.002 million viewers overall for the week of Aug. 11-15, 'Tonight' earned its top marks in both categories since the week of June 9-13.
