NBC Wins Tuesday Night in All Key Demos Among Networks

NBC is #1 for the night among the Big 4 in every key measure.
  • "America's Got Talent" (2.1/7 in 18-49, 9.4 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) ranks as the #1 show of the night among the Big 4 in 18-49, total viewers and virtually all other key measures. In 18-49, "Talent" is up +11% versus last week's 1.9 rating in these prelim fast-national ratings and up +5% versus last week's 2.0 in official nationals.
  • "America's Got Talent" won its two-hour time period among the Big 4 by a margin of +91% (2.1 vs. 1.1 for second-place ABC from 9-11 p.m.) and by +65% in total viewers (9.4 million vs. 5.7 million for second-place CBS).
  • "America's Got Talent" matched the show's top Tuesday rating in four weeks (since a 2.4 on July 29)
  • "Food Fighters" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) is currently up +10% versus last week's 1.0 in official nationals, to a three-week high (best since a 1.2 on Aug. 5), and is even with last 's 1.1 in these preliminary fast nationals. In total viewers, the 4.7 million is a four-week high, pending updates. In the time period, "Food Fighters" ranked #2 among the Big 4 in adults 18-49.
  • "Food Fighters" grew from half-hour to half-hour by +20% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.2 from a 1.1) and +10% in total viewers (4.9 million vs. 4.5 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night:

  • In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.3/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/5.
  • In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.
  • From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
  • From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.0/4 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore)
  • At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
