Carol Burnett's turn as playwright is on the Oyster Mill stage, and Aliza Bardfeld is dying to make you laugh about it.

Greenhouse Theater Center has launched its 2017-18 season with Artistic Director Jacob Harvey and Elizabeth Margolius' bold reimagining of Sophie Treadwell's most celebrated play, MACHINAL.

In April 1950, a young Harold Prince took his first stride on Broadway, assistant stage managing the Grace and Paul Hartman-led revue TICKETS, PLEASE! at the Coronet Theatre. Now, six decades, 21 Tony Awards and over 50 Broadway shows later, Prince prepares for another Broadway opening - this one, a revue of his own work.

The Oyster Mill Playhouse will present the comedy/drama HOLLYWOOD ARMS, by Carrie Hamilton and Carol Burnett, July 7 through July 23. Curtain is at 8 p.m. for all Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows, and 2 p.m. for Sunday matinees. Tickets are $18. The award-winning Impro Theatre continues its 11th Anniversary Season with their 2nd annual Pledge Drive UnScripted benefit event, which includes a 30-hour non-stop improvised marathon, a crowdfunding campaign, and a silent auction. The event takes place in the intimate Impro Studio in the heart of Los Feliz Village from June 30 to July 1, 2017. Proceeds benefit the Impro Theatre School and Impro Studio.

Legendary comedian Carol Burnett will make her return to television in a multi-camera comedy in which she will star alongside Amy Poehler.

Theatre of NOTE continues its 2016 season with the west coast premiere of D DEB DEBBIE DEBORAH by Jerry Lieblich and directed by Doug Oliphant. D DEB DEBBIE DEBORAH will open on Thursday, August 11 and run through Saturday, September 17 at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.
