After a sold out workshop run at Live Arts in 2015 and sold out premiere runs at Manhattan Theatre Club in New York and The Geffen in Los Angeles, Jones brings the complete work back for a special limited engagement.

The Valkyries written by Jessica Owens and directed by Blayze Teicher will be presented as part of The Tank's LadyFest, a festival featuring pieces written, directed, produced, acted, managed, and designed all by female or gender non-confirming artists. The festival is 'in celebration of womxnhood and the female voice, in all its glory.'

Bill T. Jones, MacArthur Genius Award and National Medal of Arts awardee and Artistic Director of New York Live Arts, and Janet Wong, Associate Artistic Director, announced the New York Live Arts' fall 2019-2020 season today. 'Is there such a thing as 'we'? How and why do we come together?  What makes a community? These questions are on our minds as we enter our 9th season. How do artists embody and shed light on these questions?', said the team.

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theater of California, presents the Los Angeles premiere of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's Good Boys starring Betsy Brandt as Elizabeth Hardy, and directed by Carolyn Cantor on the mainstage of Pasadena Playhouse.

The Los Angeles premiere of multi-genre writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's GOOD BOYS has just begun previews at the Pasadena Playhouse. As the adult in this situation, Brandon's mother Elizabeth must face the myriad of new choices that her family must now select. Betsy Brandt (known to television viewers for her roles in Breaking Bad and Life In Pieces, among many others) portrays the pivotal role of Elizabeth Hardy. Betsy managed to find a few moments to answer my inquiring queries amidst her crazy, hectic schedule.

Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) today announces that its 2019 Spring Gala will honor the beloved and prolific actress Lois Smith, a two-time Tony Award nominee whose six-decade career in theater, film, and television has included memorable performances in numerous Playwrights Horizons productions. The event will convene Playwrights Horizons' diverse community of writers, artists, and supporters on Monday, May 6 at 583 Park Avenue.

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theater of California, announces the latest news on its spring and summer programming.  Academy and Tony Award Nominee John C. Reilly and an amazing ensemble of actors will create a spirited evening of Story Theater in Gather: Surprising Stories & Other Mischief, which Reilly has created with Patrick Murphy, who will also direct. The production will play Friday, May 24  through Saturday, June 22, in the Carrie Hamilton Theatre of the Pasadena Playhouse.

Pittsburgh CLO will launch its second New Musicals Weekend, a project of the Next Generation Campaign's New Small Musicals Initiative. New Musicals Weekend, the mini version of the SPARK festival, takes the core goals of SPARK and puts them into action over just seven days. New Musicals Weekend aims to develop new musicals for the CLO Cabaret by supporting writing teams with financial and creative resources and by building relationships with local and national artists. 

Spicy Witch Productions will present the World Premiere of The Virtuous Fall of the Girls From Our Lady of Sorrows written by Gina Femia (Princess Grace Award Finalist for The Mermaids' Parade; The Kilroys List Honorable Mention for Annie and the Fat Man), directed by Blayze Teicher (Trainspotting Live; Mother Knows Best with New Light Theatre Project) in rep with an audacious cut of William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, adapted and directed by Phoebe Brooks (Hamlet the Hip-Hopera at FringeNYC, 2015) at The Flea Theater (20 Thomas Street New York, NY 10007), May 17-June 1. Two River Theater presents the commissioned world premiere of Martin Moran's Theo, directed by Carolyn Cantor. The production opens to the press on Friday, March 1 at 7pm and continues through Sunday, March 24 in Two River's Marion Huber Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, Red Bank, NJ.
