I had never seen a professional production of HELLO, DOLLY! until now. I recall the 1969 film with Walter Matthau and Barbra Streisand. I did see the play it is based on, THE MATCHMAKER by Thornton Wilder at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and really did not enjoy it.

The seventh annual 'Night Of A Thousand Judys' - the Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center written and hosted by Justin Sayre - featured the musical talents of two time Tony Award-nominee Christine Andreas (My Fair Lady, Oklahoma!), Nathan Lee Graham (Zoolander, 'LA to Vegas'), Brittain Ashford (The Great Comet of 1812), Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening, The Book of Mormon), Julian Fleisher (New York Public Radio), Molly Pope (Cafe Caryle, Adelaide Festival), Kat Cunning (HBO's 'The Deuce,' Company XIV), and Amber Martin (John Cameron Mitchell's The Origin of Love).

 Currently celebrating its 25th Silver Anniversary, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre is set to end the season with a bang this summer when the smash-hit musical Mamma Mia! arrives at the theatre. With over 60 million people having seen this worldwide phenomenon, for its 25th Anniversary Season, Way Off Broadway is bringing this international sensation to the Frederick stage for the very first time.

Hello, Carolee Carmello! The Broadway veteran will headline the touring production of the Broadway revival of HELLO, DOLLY! - taking over for Betty Buckley following her departure from the show!

THE GREEN ROOM 42 Broadway's newest intimate concert venue will present Buckingham Nicks, from Brad Simmons, Michael Holland, and Jon Weber, on Friday, May 3 at 9:30 PM. In this one-night-only event, three of New York City's most in-demand music directors will reinterpret and honor the extraordinary artists Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Before they joined Fleetwood Mac, the dynamic duo released one masterpiece self-titled album. Soon after, their luscious hit songs ( Rhiannon, Monday Morning, Landslide, and Don't Let Me Down Again ) were in heavy radio rotation. And then, the Rumours album gave us Dreams, Go Your Own Way, I Don't Want To Know, and The Chain.

Symphony Space's fourth annual PROJECT BROADWAY begins tonight featuring a week of programs from April 22 - April 29. The series this year honors the women who have written, performed in, and inspired some of the great works of the American musical.

Okay, this week, I only have to throw out two CDs, but it hurts! I'll never forget May 31, 1992--the 46th Annual Tony Awards. I had just turned 16 and was eagerly tuning in to absorb the Broadway of it all. I didn't really know much about any of the shows, other than that friends and family in New York had flipped for Guys And Dolls and that my parents had loved an earlier incarnation of Jelly's Last Jam when it played the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Glenn Close was hosting and Patti LuPone was presenting and I was not moving from my seat on the couch until I had a ranked list of the shows I wanted to see when I got to New York to visit my grandparents for Thanksgiving.

Three-time Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello will make a rare concert appearance and her long-awaited Bay Area concert debut at the historic Orinda Theatre as part of the Live At the Orinda concert series.

BroadwayWorld has learned that just last week, Roundabout Theatre Company held a star-studded reading of Jason Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry's Parade, helmed by Tony nominee Michael Arden and led by Ben Platt as Leo Frank and Michaela Diamond as Lucille Frank.

Karen Mason, star of Broadway's Mamma Mia!, Sunset Boulevard, and Wonderland and 12-time MAC Award winner will brighten up the historic Orinda Theatre for the holidays and the Live At the Orinda 2018 concert series season finale.

Live At the Orinda concert series, currently in its debut season of presenting world-renowned musical artists at the beautiful art-deco Orinda Theatre, announces the first half of their 2019 Season. This will also mark their One Year Anniversary Season. The season kicks off on Saturday, January 19, 2019 with legendary actor/singer Rita Moreno in her first Bay Area concert in many years, followed by a matinee performance on Sunday, January 20, 2019. The opening weekend performances will also serve as a fundraiser for the historic Orinda Movie Theatre to purchase permanent concert lighting for the venue to enhance the live music experience even further.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present Tonya Pinkins and Brad Simmons in a new holiday show 'Naughty & Nice' on Sunday, December 16 at 9:30 PM. The Tony, Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning actress Tony Pinkins is known to theater, film, and television audiences everywhere, and perfectly pairs with Broadway music director and concert artist Brad Simmons. Together they bring a provocative and eclectic evening of music to The Green Room 42, just in time for the holidays.

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T) has announced the final roster of featured guests that will appear in ExtraOrdinary, a celebration of musical theater at the A.R.T. directed by Paulus.
