Transport Group has announced initial casting for Promises, Promises-its second musical in this season's Anne L. Bernstein Concert Series. The concert stars John Cariani, Donna Lynne Champlin, Jessica Fontanta and Santino Fontana. 

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announces 18 awards granted from their National Fund for New Musicals, and five awards granted from their Innovation & Exploration Grant program. The National Fund for New Musicals (NFNM) is a major funding program to support NAMT member not-for-profit theatres in their collaborations with writers to create, develop and produce new musicals. Now in its tenth year, this year the Fund is providing grants totaling $58,000 to organizations across the country.

Casting call! BroadwayCon is seeking specialty acts for the second annual BroadwayCon Star To Be competition in partnership with the Jimmy Awards, the annual high school musical theatre showcase presented by The Broadway League Foundation. Following a continued overwhelmingly positive response from audiences and critics alike, Berkeley Rep has announced that the world premiere musical of Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding will extend for a third and final week. The new musical will now run through Sunday, July 16.
