In conjunction with the New York premiere production of The Hidden Sky, Prospect Theater Company will host an afternoon symposium featuring scholars and artists, including the show's creators. The discussion will focus on the relationship between mathematics and music, the historical conflict between science and religion, and other ideas explored in this new musical.

Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) presents SNAPSHOTS, a series of seven new ten-minute musicals, as part of their Winter 2010 Dark Nights Series at the West End Theatre in the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew.

Sometimes, Christmas vacations come at a terribly inconvenient time. For a personal example, I left New York for the holidays just as Prospect Theater Company's newest musical, Evergreen, debuted. As such, I only got to attend the show on the day it closed. This is somewhat of a tragedy, because given the opportunity, I would have returned several times and encouraged the rest of New York to do the same.

Take Wing And Soar Productions is proud to announce its Founder and Producing Artistic Director Debra Ann Byrd, has been named the recipient of the Lucille Lortel Award from the League of Professional Theatre Women. So for the company's ten year anniversary, their adventurous artistic director, Cara Reichel, conceived and curated a site-specific piece called The Dome, inspired by their home's architecture.

The show opens Thursday, Aug. 27, at 7:30 p.m., and will be directed at IU by Emmy Award-winning director/choreographer George Pinney with musical direction by Drama Desk-nominated writer Peter Mills, who wrote the music and lyrics for the show.

The League of Professional Theatre Women, a non-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, is pleased to announce its new slate of officers.
