Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) is pleased to announce the dance presentations featured on the Spring 2014 BAC Presents performance series. The three presentations in March, April, and May are U.S. and New York Premieres of new works by international dance artists, reflecting BAC's mission to present and support innovative, contemporary choreographers and dancers from around the world.

Camille A. Brown & Dancers Launch Northeast Tour Today

Camille A. Brown & Dancers, recognized for its visceral movement and unflinching approach to comedic and controversial themes, will embark on a 3-city Northeast tour, starting this weekend. The company is to visit Boston, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia in March and April to perform Camille A. Brown's acclaimed 2013 Mr. TOL E. RAncE, as well as other repertory favorites. The company will be presented by World Music/CRASHarts at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston on March 14-15, The Atlas in Washington D.C. onApril 5-6, and Painted Bride Arts Center in Philadelphia on April 11-12. D.C and Philadelphia performances will feature the full version of Mr. TOL E. RAncE and also includes live piano accompaniment by Scott Patterson, playing an original eclectic score-composed by Patterson, Brandon McCune, Jonathan Melville Pratt and Kurt 'KC' Clayton.

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts unveiled its 2014-2015 Season this evening during a standing-room-only celebration that included live pop-up performances, spectacular costumes and festive refreshments, underscoring that the Ordway provides a unique experience with every show. Choreographers Camille A. Brown, Gabrielle Lamb, and Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener, who will be working together, have been awarded New York City Center's 2014 Choreography Fellowships. The Fellowship supports choreographers at critical stages in their careers and reflects City Center's long history of nurturing dance makers, from George Balanchine to Christopher Wheeldon.

One of the world premieres, 'Dream on Robben,' was inspired by the life of Nelson Mandela. The group will be joined onstage by hip-hop legend Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels for the second world premiere, 'Melting Pot.' It all takes place today, February 8, 2014 in the LeFrak Theater, American Museum of Natural History, first floor.

Andre De Shields & Adam Chanler-Berat to Lead Public Theater & DTC's THE FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE in Dallas; Full Cast & Creative Team Announced

Dallas Theater Center announced today the award-winning cast and creative team for the world premiere new musical The Fortress of Solitude, a co-production with The Public Theater in New York City. The Fortress of Solitude is based on the nationally best-selling novel of the same name by 2005 MacArthur Fellow Jonathan Lethem. The musical is conceived and directed by Daniel Aukin, with a book by Itamar Moses, and music and lyrics by Michael Friedman. The Fortress of Solitude opens with previews on March 7 and runs through April 6.
