The Lakewood Playhouse presents the third show of its 77th season: ARCADIA by Tom Stoppard (From the Author of ROSENCRANTZ & GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD and SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE)! This production will also mark the continuation of Lakewood's year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Lakewood Playhouse Theatre. From TAMING OF THE SHREW in its first year to AVENUE Q at the end of this season, Lakewood will have presented over 300 productions at this venue, which was first built in 1965 by the Lakewood Arts Foundation. The Lakewood Playhouse is proud to present the THIRD SHOW of our 77th SEASON: ARCADIA by Tom Stoppard (From the Author of ROSENCRANTZ & GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD and SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE)!  This production will also mark the continuation of our year-long celebration of the 50th ANNIVERSARY of the very building we do all of our Productions in - THE LAKEWOOD PLAYHOUSE THEATRE!  From TAMING of the SHREW in its first year to AVENUE Q at the end of this season, we will have presented over 300 Productions at this venue that was first built for us in 1965 by the Lakewood Arts Foundation.

The Lakewood Playhouse is proud to present its 4th Annual 'special' joint presentation with its very own Lakewood Institute of Theatre -- TREASURE ISLAND -- for nine shows only. The famous story by Robert Louis Stevenson is adapted by Ken Ludwig and is sure to be a fantastic, swashbuckling tale of rollicking adventure for the entire family this holiday season. The show will run from December 10th through the 20th and be performed on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Lakewood Playhouse & Tacoma Little Theatre to Launch Directors Exchange Program

For the first time in both of their histories, the South Sound's two oldest theatre companies are teaming up, and exchanging their Managing Artistic Directors, for the closing shows of their respective Seasons. Lakewood Playhouse's Managing Artistic Director, John Munn, will be directing Tacoma Little Theatre's Musical CABARET - The Final Show of their 96th Season opening on May 22nd, 2015. Tacoma Little Theatre's Managing Artistic Director, Chris Serface, will be directing Lakewood Playhouse's Musical DROOD: THE MYSTERY of EDWIN DROOD - The Final Show of their 76th Season opening on May 29th, 2015.
