The National Theatre's acclaimed production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time will welcome a new company next month with Sion Daniel Young joining the cast to play the lead role of Christopher Boone. Based on Mark Haddon's award-winning novel and adapted by Simon Stephens, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is currently booking in the West End until 24 October 2015. Rehearsals began today with the new Company who will begin performances at the Gielgud Theatre on 22 June 2015.

The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway announced the nominees this morning for the 2014-15 season. The first major Broadway/Off-Broadway award nominees of the New York theater season, the organization is celebrating its 64th season of bestowing awards of excellence in the field of theater. The Outer Critics Circle is an association with members affiliated with more than ninety newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations, Internet, and theatre publications in America and abroad.

The cast of the National Theatre's multi-award winning production of The Curious Incident of Dog in the Night-Time at the Gielgud Theatre have worn onesies in support of Onesie Wednesday today (1 April), part of World Autism Awareness Week 2015, organised by the National Autistic Society to encourage everyone to wear their onesies or pyjamas to work in order to stand out for autism. Lyric Opera of Chicago presents the fiery melodrama Tosca by Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924) conducted by Dmitri Jurowski in a new production by John Caird. The new cast opens on Friday, February 27 with 5 performances remaining through Saturday, March 14. Performance dates are Feb. 27, Mar. 3, 14 at 7:30pm; and Mar. 8, 11 at 2pm.

Based on the 2003 novel by Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time premiered at the National Theatre in 2012. By the following year, it had transferred into the West End and won a massive seven Olivier Awards including Best Play. As well as continuing in London, it is also playing on Broadway and is currently in the middle of a UK tour. Having seen it at the Gielgud Theatre, I was hugely anticipating seeing the touring production which I saw in Wolverhampton last night.
