The Texas premiere of Frank Wildhorn's Bonnie and Clyde opens tonight at McCallum Fine Arts Academy in Austin. BroadwayWorld recently visited a rehearsal of Bonnie and Clyde and had a chance to interview the production's director, Joshua Denning, plus several members of the cast, including Hanna McEvilly (Bonnie Parker), Jacob Roberts-Miller (Clyde Barrow), Sage Stoakley (Blanche Barrow), Connor Barr (Buck Barrow), Kendrick Knight (Ted Hinton), and Loretta Adams (Emma Parker).
According to MTI's official website, BONNIE & CLYDE, which last year played the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, is now available for licensing. In the show, two small-town kids from the middle of nowhere became the biggest folk heroes in all America. They craved adventure-and each other. Their names were Bonnie and Clyde.
The original Broadway cast recording of Frank Wildhorn's BONNIE AND CLYDE is set for release by Broadway Records on April 24, 2012. Amazon.com is currently accepting pre-orders. The cast and crew recently gathered at the Little Times Square Theatre where they got a first listen of the new album.

BONNIE & CLYDE will record the official cast album on January 2, 2012. The album producers are Frank Wildhorn, John McDaniel and David Lai. It will be Executive Produced by Van Dean, along with Corey Brunish, Howard Kagan and Terry Schnuck.
Now, a press release from the production has been posted on Broadway's Best Shows noting that producers have now officially announced that the show will play its final performance on December 30th at 8pm, following 69 performances.
Now, Group Sales promo emails for the show indicate there as well that the show will play its final performance on Broadway on December 30th. The press office for the show currently has no comment or announcement on the ticket sales or the show's future.
BONNIE & CLYDE opened on Thursday, December 1, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. As of today, it appears the producers have taken tickets off sale through Telecharge.com past December 30, 2011. (Telecharge.com is selling for the show through this date, however). No official announcement as to why the production has pulled tickets past the 30th has been made.
