The producers of Motown the Musical have announced that Valisia LeKae, a 2013 Tony Award nominee for her performance as Diana Ross, has withdrawn from the Broadway production at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, for medical reasons. LeKae confirmed her departure in a statement on her personal Facebook page, announcing that she had recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Broadway In Chicago is pleased to announce that individual tickets for MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, the hit Broadway musical that features music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and a book by Berry Gordy, go on-sale to the public starting this Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Crowned the biggest box office hit of the season by the New York Times, MOTOWN will launch its national tour at Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph) from April 22 to July 13, 2014.

Beginning December 2, the smash hit MOTOWN THE MUSICAL will play at 7:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The show continues on Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm; Sunday at 3pm; and is dark Monday.
