TheatreSquared announced today its Tenth Anniversary Gala, the theatre's signature annual celebration supporting education and access to remarkable live theatre.

 Don't miss the most entertaining fundraiser this year! Watch as local personalities and Hangar stars compete in an epic battle of charades at the Hangar's annual benefit Acting Out on the Hangar Stage. This light-hearted FUNdraiser will be an evening full of improvised, live entertainment, as team members act out entertainment clues for all to enjoy. See the charades showdown yourself on Sunday, October 25 at 6:00pm at the Hangar Theatre. Event attendees will enjoy this spectacle, in addition to a special halftime performance, a live auction of theatrical experiences, as well as complementary snacks, wine, and beer.

Continuing its Mainstage Season, the Hangar Theatre will present The Hound of the Baskervilles, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, adapted by Steven Canny and John Nicholson. This production will be directed by Mark Shanahan, who made his Hangar Theatre directing debut with last season's production of Other Desert Cities. This family friendly show will run from tonight, July 16, until July 25, 2015. The recording of TOKIO CONFIDENTIAL, a new musical with words and music by Eric Schorr that had its Off-Broadway world premiere in 2012, will be released by Broadway Records and is now available for pre-order on the Broadway Records website at www.broadwayrecords.com/cds/tokio-confidential and select retailers. The album will be released on CD and digitally today, May 12, 2015.

Florida Repertory Theatre has announced that Mark Brown, the critically acclaimed author of Around the World in 80 Days, will visit Fort Myers this weekend to see Florida Rep's production of his play.

The Hangar's Acting Out on the Hangar Stage, Community Charades Challenge took place on Saturday, October 18. With the support of the community - through donations to four teams of participants, the purchase of auction items, and ticket sales - the Hangar was able to reach its fundraising goal for the event, which supports the theatre's educational programming, raising a total of $26,000.
