Following the release of their sophomore album St. Mojo, Austin's freak parade Sweet Spirit are hitting the road for a run of dates beginning on September 29 with The Afghan Whigs and Har Mar Superstar at Exit In in Nashville, TN. The band recently released on of their most capivating music videos to date for "The Power," which is currently being used in a national advertising campaign for Samsung.

"Sweet Spirit is starched and loaded for our final tour of 2017," said Sabrina Ellis. "We expect a high concentration of ecstatic faces, debaucherous grooves and dance-exorcisms. We look forward to sharing the stage with Tinnarose, the gods and goddess of love and tolerance and to see Eric Slick (fr. Dr. Dog) drop his drumsticks and sling a guitar. Sweet Spirit will go straight from the frying pan, into the fire when we join our godmother Low Cut Connie at Irving Plaza for the release of Dirty Pictures (Part 2). Tell my wife I love her very much- she knows!"

After the release of two albums, an EP, and a split single with Britt Daniel of Spoon, Sweet Spirit have amassed a cult following known for their wild and energetic live shows. Noisey called the band "exceptionally charismatic." When named Band of the Month at WXPN in Philadelphia earlier this month, Bruce Warren proclaimed "Sabrina Ellis is a rock star...We're expecting big things for this band." Austin Monthly said, "the album merges raw guitar power with relaxed grooves and memorable melodies...Sabrina Ellis has emerged as an Austin music icon." The band has also appeared on Tom Scharpling's The Best Show, where they premiered the band's first single from St. Mojo earlier this year.
