Gingold Theatrical Group just celebrated Opening Night for this rare revival of Shaw's beloved almost historical comedy Caesar & Cleopatra last night, September 24th at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues). This limited Off-Broadway engagement, now in previews, will continue through October 12th only.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was once again happy to present acclaimed vocalist Natalie Douglas in one of her successful 'Tribute' concerts. This past Monday, she celebrated the silver-voiced singer who defied genre, Linda Ronstadt. BroadwayWorld has photos from the concert below!

The Bay Street Shakespeare Initiative and Hamptons Shakespeare Festival presented TWELFTH NIGHT, OR WHAT YOU WILL by William Shakespeare last Friday and Saturday nights at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor, NY. Bay Street Theatre has announced that Scott Schwartz, a leading voice of the next generation of American theater, has joined Bay Street as its new Artistic Director. Bonnie Comley and Stewart F. Lane hosted the welcome party at a private club in New York City to celebrate his arrival and to introduce him to Bay Street Theatre patrons and members of the Broadway community of actors, directors and producers. The official opening night for Polly Draper in MY BRILLIANT DIVORCE, took place last Saturday night at Bay Street Theatre. Geraldine Aron, the playwright for this American Premiere attended the after party in the lobby along with other theatre veterans including Blythe Danner, TEd Hartley and Dina Merrill, John McDaniel, Terrence McNally, Joe Pintauro, Mercedes Ruehl, Sloan Shelton, and Harris Yulin. The show runs now through Sunday, June 24. The production is directed by Matt McGrath, one of Bay Street Theatre's Artistic Associates.
