THE 24 HOUR PLAYS: Nationals Opens 2019 Applications March 11

Today, The 24 Hour Plays, in partnership with The New School for Drama, announced that the annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will be available starting March 11, 2019 and will run through April 1, 2019. The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place in August in New York City.

Christie Evangelisto And Bennett Leak Join Artistic Staff At Second Stage Theater

Currently celebrating its 40th Anniversary Season, Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, President and Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) will welcome two new Associate Artistic Directors to the staff. Beginning next month, Christie Evangelisto and Bennett Leak will join the artistic staff of the acclaimed company, working under 2ST President and Artistic Director Carole Rothman. A third Associate Artistic Director will be named in the coming weeks.

Casting Announced For FAMILIAR At The Old Globe

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for Familiar by Tony Award nominee Danai Gurira (Broadway's Eclipsed, Black Panther, "The Walking Dead"). This funny, warmhearted look at tradition, marriage, and what it means to be an American family will be directed by Edward Torres (the Globe's Water by the Spoonful and Native Gardens, Cancion at Repertorio Español) and will run January 26 - March 3, 2019 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage, Old Globe Theatre, Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run January 26-30. Opening night is Thursday, January 31. Works & Process at the Guggenheim Announces Spring 2019 Season

Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its spring 2019 season. Since 1984 the performing arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading creators. American Conservatory Theater Raises $900,000 At Its Fall Celebration

With the help of celebrated guest artists-including Oscar, Tony, and Emmy Award winner Ellen Burstyn, Tony Award winner BD Wong, and Emmy, Tony, and Golden Globe Award winner Judd Hirsch-American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) raised $900,000 at its Fall Celebration welcoming new Artistic Director Pam MacKinnon and new Executive Director Jennifer Bielstein. Proceeds from the event, which took place on Thursday, November 15 at Ken Fulk's brand-new multi-disciplinary arts space Saint Joseph's Arts Society, support A.C.T.'s diverse and far-reaching artistic, artist training, and education and community programs serving 250,000 Bay Area residents each year.

Lynn University's Bachelor Of Fine Arts Program To Present CLYBOURNE PARK

Lynn University's College of Arts and Sciences today announced the second production by its new Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in drama program. The B.F.A. in drama is the most prestigious undergraduate degree available for theater students.
