Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces 2022-2023 Season

PBD’s twenty-third season will feature two Pulitzer Prize-winning plays, Topdog/Underdog by Suzan-Lori Parks and August: Osage County by Tracy Letts; a Pulitzer Prize-finalist, 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog; the world premiere of The Science of Leaving Omaha by Carter W. Lewis; and the classic Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose. Opening night is Friday, October 14.

Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces Casting for Virtual Live Reading of A CHRISTMAS CAROL

A who’s who in the history of Palm Beach Dramaworks is set to participate in a live reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on Monday evening, December 21 at 7:30pm. In the tradition of Dickens reading his own work, this presentation will showcase PBD luminaries reading the 1843 novella, with each artist separately performing a portion of the book before handing off to the next actor.

Palm Beach Dramaworks will welcome philanthropist and former concert pianist Edith Hall Friedheim to its Board of Directors. Edith is the executive director of the Eric Friedheim Foundation, and a founding member of the Eric Friedheim Tourism Institute at the University of Florida.

Dramaworks to Present THE LAST FIVE YEARS as Their Summer Musical

Jason Robert Brown's international hit The Last Five Years, a poignant and impassioned song cycle that explores the five-year relationship between a pair of twentysomething New Yorkers from heady beginning to heartbreaking end, will be staged by Palm Beach Dramaworks this summer at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre. Tickets go on sale Monday, March 16.

The Light in the Piazza, a romantic, incandescent musical by Craig Lucas (book) and Adam Guettel (music and lyrics) about family secrets and the pursuit of happiness, opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks on Friday, April 3 at 8PM at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre. Winner of six 2005 Tony Awards, including Best Original Score, the show runs through April 26, with specially priced previews on April 1 and 2 (7:30PM). Bruce Linser directs. 

Lynn University's B.F.A. In Drama Program To Present ANATOMY OF GRAY

Lynn University's College of Arts and Sciences invites guests to weather the storm as the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in drama program presents Anatomy of Gray Nov. 20-22. When June's father dies in the late 1800s, she prays for a healer to come to the small town of Gray, Indiana. After a tornado passes, a man in a balloon blows into town claiming to be a doctor. At first, the doctor cures anything and everything, but soon the town's preacher becomes ill with a mysterious plague.
