Palm Beach Dramaworks presents The House of Blue Leaves by John Guare. Obie Award-winning play opens May 17 at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre.

Indecent, a haunting drama about a Jewish theatre troupe and its devotion to a controversial play, and Memphis, an exuberant musical about the racial divide in early days of rock and roll, took their respective places in South Florida theatrical history as Best Play and Best Musical on Monday, April 8, when the winners of the 43rd annual Carbonell Awards were announced. The ceremony was held at Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.

The award-winning MNM Theatre Company, under the direction of Executive Producer and Artistic Director Marcie Gorman, will mount two of Broadway's most beloved and successful musicals in 2019.  Man of La Mancha will run from September 13th through September 29th, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will run from November 22nd through December 8th.  Both shows will be performed in the Raymond F. Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse, and Forum will be a co-presentation with the Kravis Center.

"The Spitfire Grill" by James Valcq (Book and Music) ?and Fred Alley (Book and Lyrics) and based on the film by Lee David Zlotoff, in short, is a hit. Fitting in perfectly with their mission of 'Theatre To Think About', this realistic and grounded show is so engaging that it's impossible to keep your own emotions in check.

Lynn University's College of Arts and Sciences invites audiences to laugh out loud with the drama program's newest production, The Real Inspector Hound Feb. 6-8.

The Spitfire Grill, a warm and uplifting show by James Valcq (book and music) and Fred Alley (book and lyrics) about starting over and second chances, forgiveness and redemption, becomes the first musical to be produced by Palm Beach Dramaworks as part of its subscription season. This internationally beloved work opens on February 1 and runs through February 24, with specially priced previews on January 30 and 31. Bruce Linser directs.

Saturday's program will also include a discussion, "Regional Theatre and the Development of New American Plays," featuring panelists of industry professionals from major organizations.

Lynn's program offers students concentrated theatrical training that prepares them to work professionally in theater, movies, television and musicals.

Stage Door Theatre's first production at Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (LPAC), their brand new, state-of-the-art home, will be the multiple Tony Award-winning La Cage Aux Folles.   The production will open on August 31st and run through September 23rd.   (The theatre will celebrate the move to their new home at a Gala Party on September 1st - details to be announced.)
