Florida Rep Announces 2018 PlayLab Festival Plays and Playwrights

Florida Repertory Theatre's 2018 PlayLab Festival of New Plays and Emerging Voices will feature six new play readings, the world premiere production of last year's festival winner, 'George Washington's Teeth' by Mark St. Germain, a Playwright's Panel discussion, and a Keynote Address by alumna playwright, Daryl Lisa Fazio.

Urban Stages to Present The New York Premiere of DOGS OF RWANDA

Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director), will close its 34th season with the New York Premiere of Sean Christopher Lewis's DOGS OF RWANDA, directed by Frances Hill and Peter Napolitano. This limited engagement at Urban Stages (259 West 30th Street), begins performances on Friday, March 9, opens on Monday, March 12 and will run through Saturday, March 31, 2018.

New American Play WHITE GUY ON THE BUS to Make UK Premiere

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, the European premiere of American playwright Bruce Graham's White Guy on the Bus opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four-week limited season on Tuesday, 27 March 2018 (Press Nights: Thursday, 29 March and Friday, 30 March 2018 at 7.30pm).

Square One Theatre Partners With Stratford CARE During WHITE GUY ON THE BUS

The Square One Theatre Company in Stratford, Connecticut has partnered with Stratford CARE (Citizens Addressing Racial Equity) to facilitate talkbacks with the actors and members of the audience following the Saturday 4pm twilight matinees on March 3 & 10 & 17 of Bruce Graham's White Guy on the Bus. Square One Theatre opens White Guy on the Bus on Thursday, March 1 and continues Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through March 18 (2018) on the stage of Stratford Academy located at 719 Birdseye Street in Stratford, Connecticut. White Guy on the Bus (WGOTB) is a first-rate, new play that has more than a stunning surprise or two.

Finborough Theatre Announces New Season

Our second season of 2018 - the 150th year of the Finborough Theatre building - features new writing with two European premieres from award-winning playwrights from Canada and the United States, and a UK premiere from controversial German dramatist Rolf Hochhuth in his fourth production at the Finborough Theatre including a performance in German; two rediscoveries from the 1980s - the first professional UK production since 1980 of a musical from the composer of Half A Sixpence, and a classic feminist play by Sarah Daniels; and, as part of our 150th birthday series, a London premiere in English from celebrated French dramatist Paul Claudel who was born 150 years ago.

EgoPo Classic Theater Partners with the Drexel University Department of Performing Arts to Present the Future of American Playwriting

During their John Guare Festival and the World Premiere of Guare's epic Lydie Breeze Trilogy, EgoPo Classic Theater is collaborating with Drexel University's Performing Arts Department for an evening symposium, Future of American Playwriting, Saturday, February 3 at 4 p.m. The panel will feature John Guare and local playwrights Jacqueline Goldfinger, Bruce Graham, and James Ijames. The panel is moderated by Broad Street Review Editor in Chief Wendy Rosenfield. The symposium will be held in the Stein Auditorium in Nesbitt Hall at Drexel University, 3215 Market Street. As part of its ongoing In Conversation Series of fascinating discussions with theater artists and special guests, Lantern Theater Company will host three noted experts for conversations that explore the themes of the Lantern's world premiere production of The Craftsman by Bruce Graham. The conversations immediately follow 2:00 p.m. matinee performances on Saturday, Dec. 2 (David Hall), Sunday, Dec. 3 (Linda Easton), and Saturday, Dec. 9 (Colette Loll) and are free to the general public with ticket purchase. Lantern Theater Company Presents the World Premiere of The Craftsman by Bruce Graham

Lantern Theater Company continues its 24th season with a world premiere production of The Craftsman by celebrated Philadelphia playwright Bruce Graham. Commissioned and developed through the Lantern's New Works Initiative, Graham's new play spins a darkly ironic tale of ambition, genius, and deception. M. Craig Getting will direct a cast that includes Mary Lee Bednarek, Dan Hodge, Anthony Lawton, Brian McCann, Paul L. Nolan, and Ian Merrill Peakes.
