Tony and Grammy Award nominee Sara Bareilles, the composer and lyricist of the Broadway smash hit Waitress, returned to the Brooks Atkinson stage as Jenna Hunterson yesterday, January 16, 2018. She will remain in the role for six weeks only. Sara made her Broadway debut in the show earlier this year, breaking house records at the theatre.

To celebrate Sara's big return to the diner, the production dropped a surprise stream of Sara's first curtain call back along with a fun duet with co-star Jason Mraz on excited fans everywhere. It Only Takes A Taste! Jason Mraz Extends Run in WAITRESS on Broadway

The producers of Broadway's smash Waitress announced today that Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz will extend his engagement as Dr. Pomatter in the show until February 11, sharing two more weeks with the show's Grammy and Tony Award nominated composer and lyricist Sara Bareilles, who returns to the show on January 16 as Jenna, the titular pie-maker. Ms. Bareilles will be in the show through February 25. She made her Broadway debut in the show last year, breaking house records at the theatre. Mr. Mraz had previously been scheduled to depart the show on January 28.

Boston Court Performing Arts Center presents a reimagined modern take of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire (February 15 - March 25, 2018; press opening,February 24). This radical re-envisioning of Streetcar will feature a multicultural cast and modern setting, pushing on the play's present-day relevance.
CAROUSEL Box Office Opens Today at 10am

The box office of the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) opens today at 10 a.m. for Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic musical Carousel. Simultaneously, a cast of 39 assembles for the first day of rehearsal under the direction of three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien and choreography by Justin Peck for this most deeply anticipated production of the new season which begins preview performances on Wednesday, February 28 and officially opens on Thursday, April 12.
