Last night DoSomething.org celebrated young do-gooders, celebrities and organizations that have made a commitment to social change with the star-studded 'Do Something Awards' LIVE on VH1. Hosted by comedic genius and 'Glee' star Jane Lynch, the show featured musical performances by Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse, and Travie McCoy with special guest Bruno Mars and an all-star red carpet before the award show at The Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The night concluded with revealing Jessica Posner as the grand prize winner of the $100,000.

Hosted by James Van Der Beek, the show honored Lady Gaga with the esteemed 'Always Next, Forever Now Award' and featured musical performances by Robyn, Panic! at the Disco, Oh Land and Wynter Gordon. According to Deadline.com, Will Sasso has been cast as Curly in the upcoming film based on the world-famous slapstick TV series 'The Three Stooges.' Although casting is expected to officially be completed by the end of the week, Hank Azaria is a main contender to play Moe; James Marsden is being considered to play Larry.

Shankman Confirms: 'Hairspray 2' Film is 'Dropped'

IMBD news is reporting that Hairspray 2, a sequel to the 2007 Hairspray film starring Nikki Blonsky, Zac Efron, John Travolta and Michelle Pfieffer, has been canned. Hairspray composer/producer Marc Shaiman was supposed to team with John Waters on the project, which had had a tentative release date of July 2010 in the early stages of it's planning. The story was going to follow Tracy Turnblad (played by Nikki Blonsky in the first installment) and her pals as they navigate the 'next era of music,' the late '60s.
