THE NATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR THE ARTS are taking the forthcoming election very seriously. For the first time ever meetings around the country will take place on February 14th at 11am. Meetings will be held at the Project Arts Centre in Dublin, the Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway, and the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork. In Dublin, arts spokespersons from all 5 political parties will attend a meeting to outline their respective arts policies and answer questions.

The Club has been hinting at it all season, and now they can finally announce that they have the rights to Rogers and Hammerstein's South Pacific - for performance in April and May.

The Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater will host two provocative Wagnerian events held in conjunction with the 10-week city-wide festival. The first, 'Considering Wagner', an evening of contemporary music and film, is presented on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 7:00 pm. The second, 'Myth, Wagner and the Human Brain', a colloquium featuring Peter Sellars, Bill Viola and Antonio Damasio, will take place on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 3:00 pm.
