This year's 10th Anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards (#bwaybackwards), which was held last night at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), featured some of the most memorable numbers from previous years. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefitting BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York, the event was hosted by Honeymoon in Vegas star Rob McClure and Julie Halston. The veterans of the 2009 TONY Award-Winning Revival of HAIR reunite with their friends and fellow rockers to create a star-studded event guaranteed to blow the roof off of 54 Below!

An extremely limited number of $20 rush tickets to this year's star-studded BROADWAY BACKWARDS will be released for sale at 6:30 PM Monday, March 18, 2013. The rush tickets will be sold in the lobby of the Palace Theater (1564 Broadway). They will not be available at the box office. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, cash only and are limited to two tickets per person. The show begins at 8 PM.

This year's star-studded BROADWAY BACKWARDS took place last night, March 18, 2013 at the Palace Theater (1564 Broadway). BROADWAY BACKWARDS is a one-night-only performance produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefiting BC/EFA and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York. Now in its eighth year, BROADWAY BACKWARDS is an annual celebration where gays and lesbians see their stories onstage, told through the great songs of musical theatre, sung by their favorite Broadway performers. Jason Robert Brown's SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD was performed last night, March 11 at XL Cabaret (512 West 42nd St). The evening, directed by two-time Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun, starred Nick Adams, Ashley Brown, Jessica Rush and Michael James Scott. New York's Public Theater (Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director) and Joey Parnes have announced that cast members from the critically acclaimed first national tour of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, now on Broadway at the St. James Theatre for a 'Summer of Love' run, will hold another 'Be-In' performance to benefit Broadway Impact on Sunday, August 7th at 7:30 p.m. at the Cooper Square Hotel Penthouse (25 Cooper Square, 3rd Avenue between 5th and 6th Streets).

Hair closed in the West End on September 4, 2010 and BroadwayWorld UK was there to bid the cast farewell.

The Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical will bow early in the West End on September 4, 2010, producers have revealed. While the production was scheduled to run through January 2011, the producers have reportedly decided not to recast the show after the current cast's contracts are up on September 4. The production opened at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End April 14th, 2010.

On Wednesday, September 1, HAIR's 'Claude,' Gavin Creel, bid farewell to the production at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End. Creel originated the role in the Broadway revival that transferred to London this spring, which opened officially on April 14th, 2010. Last week, August 16, the cast of HAIR took the stage with U.S. thespians Shoshanna Bean and Norm Lewis for a special concert at Freedom Bar, performing gospel, musical theatre, rock, pop, and R&B tunes through the wee morning hours. BroadwayWorld brings you coverage of the concert below!
