Goodspeed Musicals kicks off its 2018 season with the Broadway hit The Will Rogers Follies, A Life In Revue. The exuberant dance-filled musical will be running April 13 - June 21 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn.

This past weekend, theatergoers had the exciting opportunity to attend 'Ain't Misbehavin' The Fats Waller Musical' directed by Andre De Shields at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC). The dazzling show was performed in NJPAC's Victoria Theater from Thursday, February 1st through Sunday February 4th with sold-out performances.

NJPAC and Crossroads Theatre Company are co-presenting a limited encore production of Ain't Misbehavin', starring Johmaalya Adelekan as Armelia (Ragtime), Zurin Villanueva as Charlaine (Mean Girls and Shuffle Along), Rheaume Crenshaw as Nell (Groundhog Day), David Samuel as Ken (Ruined, Arena Stage), Borris York as Andre (Holiday Inn; Love Never Dies, U.S. tour), with musical direction from David Alan Bunn, in NJPAC's Victoria Theatre through February 4.

From February 1 to February 6, NJPAC and Crossroads Theatre Company will present an encore production of Ain't Misbehavin' directed by Andre De Shields. Broadwayworld.com had the pleasure of interviewing Marshall Jones III, the Producing Artistic Director of Crossroads Theatre Company about 'Crossroads on the Road' and the upcoming production of Ain't Misbehavin'.

Christopher Rice (Broadway's The Book of Mormon) continues his viral #Tappy video series online with the 2017 Tappy Christmas Special. This production, inspired by the televised holiday specials of the 1960s, features Broadway stars Kyle Dean Massey (TV's 'Nashville', Pippin, Next to Normal, Wicked), Bryonha Marie Parham (Prince of Broadway, Porgy and Bess, After Midnight), Dorcas Leung (current Gigi in Miss Saigon), and dancers from many other Broadway shows.

LOVE NEVER DIES is a very misunderstood musical, much like the charactor 'Phantom of the Opera.' This show is the sequel to 'THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA', and it turns PHANTOM upside down. If you watched The Wizard of Oz on television for many years, then went to see WICKED, you were probably in shock that two sides to the same story can be so radically different. What we thought we were seeing in PHANTOM, was Raoul's view. The new show is from Christine's perspective.

Ghostlight Records has released the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn in digital formats today, Friday, June 2. The CD version will be available online and in stores on Friday, July 21. The album will feature a 16-page full color booklet with a synopsis and liner notes from Ted Chapin, President of Rodgers & Hammerstein, an Imagem Company. There's no easy way to talk about a performance ostensibly thrown in honor of a presidential candidate who didn't end up winning. Let's be clear: Randy Rainbow's ELECTION EVE PARTY held on Monday, night at Birdland wasn't exactly a non-partisan event. The performers dropped more 'I'm With Her' references than at an actual Clinton rally, and the party likely could've sustained itself on Rainbow's viral parodies alone.
