Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein have announced the world premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins Appropriate, directed by Gary Griffin, appearing as part of the 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays. Appropriate begins previews tonight, March 5, opens March 7 and runs through April 7.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will continue its popular Spotlight Series of free staged readings of new plays by The Public's Emerging Writers Group, beginning on Wednesday, March 27 and running through Monday, April 29. Collaboration Town in partnership with Sister Scars will present the World Premiere production of ALL GIRLS, written by Anna Greenfield (Norma and Claude Get Married at the Lee Strasberg Institute) and directed by Lee Sunday Evans (The Play About My Dad at 59E59). The production will feature Zoe Costello, Anna Greenfield, and Anna Ryan Konkle.

Because of the ongoing power outages in Lower Manhattan, tonight's performance (Thursday, November 1 at 8 PM) of David Johnston's CONEY at the New Ohio has been canceled.

Because of the MTA shutdown, tonight's performance (Sunday, October 28 at 7 PM) of David Johnston's CONEY at the New Ohio has been canceled. Performances for Monday, October 29 and Tuesday, October 30 are still scheduled to go on as planned.

Blue Coyote Theater Group has announced the cast for the World Premiere of CONEY, written by David Johnston and directed by Gary Shrader. CONEY begins performances on Saturday, October 27 for a limited engagement through Saturday, November 17.

CollaborationTown (The Play About My Dad, The Momentum) presents the World Premiere of THE DEEPEST PLAY EVER: THE CATHARSIS OF PATHOS by Geoffrey Decas O'Donnell with music by Michael Wells. Directed by Lee Sunday Evans and Jordan Seavey, previews begin March 9 at the New Ohio Theatre. An acclaimed 2006 production of this Brecht satire won an Outstanding Playwrighting Award at FringeNYC; this newly revised, reworked production is slated for opening on Wednesday, March 14.
