The full cast has been announced for the new stage play of Helen Forrester's Twopence To Cross The Mersey, which tours four Merseyside theatres in the Spring.

If you are a fan of ska music, there is much to like about the Belgrade Theatre's production of Three Minute Heroes. Dubbed as the 2 Tone Musical, the production follows fictional characters trying to make it in the music industry. With the band consisting of a diverse group of young people, 2 Tone was the appropriate record company that they were trying to win over. There was also an ongoing racist battle during 1979-1981 when the show is set. Coventry decided to put on a benefit in 1981 to pay tribute to a Sikh man who was killed in the city as part of the racist protests and that really was when the ska music family came together to make a difference.

The Belgrade Theatre has announced that Charley 'Aitch' Bembridge, founding member of The Selecter will join the cast of Bob Eaton's 2 Tone musical Three Minute Heroes this October. The former Selecter drummer and 2 Tone pioneer will join up-and-coming cast members Joseph Eaton-Kent, Conor Nolan, Sheldon Green, Elizah Jackson and Sarah Workman live on the B2 stage as drummer to the production's live ska band which also features Joey Hickman on Keyboard/Trombone, Dan McIntyre on Guitar and Michael Searl on Bass.

The Belgrade Theatre has announced full details of its new Autumn 2014 Season which will see Hamish Glen direct a brand new co-production of Peter Arnott's gripping WWII drama Propaganda Swing, premiering at the Belgrade this September.
