Paris-based Compagnie Kafig will visit the UK in 2014, with a nationwide tour from 25 March to 18 April and two national press nights in Milton Keynes on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 March. In the past 17 years, Compagnie Kafig has given over 2200 performances in 61 countries in front of more than 1 million people. However, they rarely perform in the UK, and this is rare and special visit is by the kind invitation of Dance Consortium.
Disney's THE LION KING Wraps Sold Out Run at Birmingham Hippodrome

Disney's THE LION KING will complete its sell-out run at Birmingham Hippodrome on Saturday, having delighted over 190,000 theatregoers and generated "millions of pounds" for the local economy. The award-winning musical, which began on Saturday 29 June, will close at the theatre on Saturday 28 September having played 109 performances.

New Adventures and Re:Bourne have announced a national tour of a thrilling new production of LORD OF THE FLIES, choreographed by Olivier nominated Scott Ambler, adapted and directed by Matthew Bourne and Scott Ambler, based on the classic novel by William Golding. LORD OF THE FLIES will open at the Lowry Theatre, Salford on 2 April 2014.

With only 92 shopping days until Christmas, that means it's only 86 days until the opening of Britain's biggest pantomime at Birmingham Hippodrome. This was kindly reinforced to us by Michael Harrison, the Managing Director of the pantomime division at Qdos Entertainment and ultimately the Director of this year's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves at the venue. A frightening thought for many but not for pantomime lovers!
