The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey kicks off its 2009 Season with a world premiere stage adaptation of Around the World in Eighty Days. Adapted for the stage by Bonnie J. Monte from the beloved novel by Jules Verne, this inventive production is an exhilarating treat for people of all ages. Around the World in Eighty Days began performances on April 29 and continues through May 24 at the Shakespeare Theatre's Main Stage - The F. M. A Bronx Tale, the funny and touching memoir written by and starring Academy Award-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri, will debut in Minneapolis at Hennepin Theatre Trust's State Theatre June 2-7, 2009.

The American Theatre Wing has extended the deadline to turn in applications for its 2009 SpringboardNYC Program, to be held on June 1 - 12, 2009 in New York City. Due to an overwhelming amount of interest, the American Theatre Wing will now accept applications through April 15.
