THE HIROSHIMA PROJECT -- a 4-week cultural event featuring the premieres of American and Japanese plays, an award-winning film documentary, and open forums about the atomic bombings of Hiroshima 60 years later -- will be presented May 8 through 30 at The Ohio Theater (66 Wooster Street) in Manhattan, it has been announced by the co-producers of this world-premiere event, the Off-Broadway theater companies Voice & Vision and Crossing Jamaica Avenue.

Monte from the beloved novel by Jules Verne, this inventive production is an exhilarating treat for people of all ages. ATW Extends Deadline for SpringboardNYC Program Applications Thru 4/15

The American Theatre Wing has extended the deadline to turn in applications for its 2009 SpringboardNYC Program, to be held on June 1 - 12, 2009 in New York City. Due to an overwhelming amount of interest, the American Theatre Wing will now accept applications through April 15.

A BRONX TALE Starring Chazz Palminteri Comes To Ford Center

Broadway In Chicago is thrilled to present A BRONX TALE, written by and starring Academy Award?-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri. This funny and touching memoir about a young man's experiences growing up in the Bronx during the 1960s will play at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre for a limited engagement March 10 - 22, 2009.
A BRONX TALE is produced by GO Productions. Set design is by James Noone, lighting design is by Paul Gallo, and original music and sound design is by John Gromada. Mr. Palminteri's wardrobe is supplied by Italian menswear designer ISAIA.
