The star of BBC Radio 4's Dead Ringers and BBC One's The Impressions Show, Jon Culshaw is set to follow up his and Bill Dare's 2018 sell-out Edinburgh Festival Fringe residency with a brand-new solo hour of impressions, comedy and music at the Gilded Balloon this August.

Actor, producer and director Martin Jarvis OBE (Just William, The Forsyte Saga, Eastenders, Doctor Who) has won the BBC Audio Drama award for Lifetime Achievement, presented at Broadcasting House’s Radio Theatre.

The finalists in the 2023 BBC Audio Drama Awards have today been announced, with a wealth of talent such as Toby Jones, Danielle Vitalis and Ken Cheng all in the running for the top spots.

Jon Culshaw will star as 'Bill Bryson' in a brand-new stage production of Bryson's award-winning memoir NOTES FROM A SMALL ISLAND adapted by BAFTA and Olivier Award winning playwright Tim Whitnall. Directed by the Watermill's Artistic Director Paul Hart, the production will have its world premiere in Newbury on Thursday 24 September and play until Saturday 31 October, with a national press night on Monday 28 September. The production will then tour to Malvern, Cambridge, and Richmond, with further dates to announced.

Celebrating the music of the legendary West Coast Country Rock band, The Illegal Eagles return to Theatre Royal Brighton for another outstanding show promising more of their trademark musical prowess, acute attention to detail and incredible showmanship.

Jack Docherty makes his first Fringe appearance in 25 years, as The Miss Behave Gameshow returns to the UK, with Judah Friedlander, Anya Anastasia and a stellar Theatre line-up in tow.
