A tour de force of percussion and rhythm, this once in a lifetime session brings together tap dance legend Savion Glover and Jack DeJohnette, the foremost jazz drummer of our time. Savion Glover and Jack DeJohnette will perform at Kingsbury Hall on Monday, December 14 at 7:30 PM. The Kennedy Center today announced a robust schedule of 2015-2016 performances as part of Comedy at the Kennedy Center, the largest since the new series was established in the 2014-2015 season. Capital One is the presenting sponsor. Comedy at the Kennedy Center will include three signature events in the Concert Hall, featuring nationally renowned comedic acts, and the Center's first District of Comedy Festival from June 22-25, showcasing an array of celebrated comedians who will be performing on stages across the building. The District of Comedy Festival will also launch a newly-engaged collaboration with Chicago's legendary comedy theater, The Second City, featuring a Kennedy Center commission that focuses on the history of the United States, which will run for six weeks in the Theater Lab. Tickets for these events go on sale to members on Monday, November 23, 2015 and to the general public on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 (unless otherwise noted).

The Kennedy Center presents the world premiere production of Darius & Twig in the Kennedy Center Family Theater from October 30 - November 8, 2015. Part of the Women's Voices Theater Festival and the Kennedy Center's Theater for Young Audiences 2015-2016 season, the production is based on the award-winning novel by Walter Dean Myers, adapted by Caleen Sinnette Jennings, and directed by Eleanor Holdridge. The Kennedy Center, in association with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, the National New Play Network (NNPN)-the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays-and with Stanford University's National Center for New Plays, will host more than 50 playwrights, directors, and dramaturgs from July 25 to August 2, 2015 as part of the 10th annual weeklong MFA Playwrights' Workshop featuring new works by MFA students from Columbia University, Northwestern University, Fordham University, Yale School of Drama, the Juilliard School, New York University-Tisch School of the Arts, University of California-San Diego, and the Juilliard School.
