Off-Broadway's longest-running and most beloved musical, The Fantasticks, will kick off Island City Stage’s 13th South Florida Season beginning October 17.

John M. 'Jack' Allison, prestigious theater teacher and director in the United States, Canada, and Europe, died peacefully at the age of 78 on June 16, 2019 in East Northport, New York. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, he graduated from New Jersey City University with a BA in American Literature and History before earning an MA in Speech and Drama from The Catholic University of America, and a PhD (ABD) in Theatre and Directing from the University of Denver.

THE FANTASTICKS, the world's longest running musical, will celebrate a record breaking 20,000th New York performance, on Sunday, September 15, 2013, announced producers Catherine Russell and Al Parinello. The milestone will mark the first time a production (on Broadway or Off-Broadway) has ever reached 20,000 performances and will be commemorated in a month long celebration that includes performing at Broadway in Bryant Park and Little Italy, and with The Museum of The City of New York's future cyber gallery highlighting the history of the production. GSN announced today a host of new acquisitions of classic game shows and episodes, including the GSN premiere of SALE OF THE CENTURY, featuring 65 episodes that originally aired on NBC in 1988-89 with host Jim Perry. In addition, the network will debut 57 new-to-GSN episodes of PRESS YOUR LUCK from 1983-84 with host Peter Tomarken. SALE OF THE CENTURY and the new episodes of PRESS YOUR LUCK will premiere on GSN on April 1, 2013.
