Sonnet Repertory Theatre just announced that Nikki Renee Daniels (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess) will be joining SRT's previously announced Benefit and Cabaret November 12 at 92YTribeca, honoring award-wining director, Julie Taymor. According to Deadline.com, Ben Toth and Sam Forman have signed on to write the music and lyrics for the Broadway-bound SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE Musical. Previously announced Lonny Price will direct the show, which is set to have its world premiere at The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Charles Dillingham, Interim Executive Director) in June, 2013.

The Hartt School of the University of Hartford in Connecticut has announced that Dr. David Macbride will be the recipient of the 2011 Hartt Alumni Award.

Show at Barre welcomes Wayne Brady, star of Broadway's Chicago, RENT at the Hollywood Bowl, and most notably TV's Whose Line is It Anyway? and The Wayne Brady Show. Brady will be debuting his brand new cabaret concert with Show at Barre for two nights only, Sunday, April 17 and Monday, April 18, with musical direction by Ben Toth.
