Coming up this week, 54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond.

A great, big Broadway season is on its way, with fourteen productions already slated to open in the next few months. With several weeks until the craziness begins, there is still plenty of time to catch up on what's been going on at Broadway's already occupied theaters . BroadwayWorld will be profiling the hits of the Great White Way that continue to draw crowds after months, years, and (in some cases) decades. Meet the current cast of Broadway's ONCE below!

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) announces the cast and creative team for the Houston premiere of Disney's The Little Mermaid, based on the classic animated film of the same title. The musical will run June 13 - 29 in Hobby Center's Sarofim Hall and then play the Atlanta premiere at the Fabulous Fox Theatre from July 8 - 13. TUTS invites everyone to take a trip "under the sea" including all the familiar classic songs plus a few new ones along with a story that charms people of all ages!

A staged reading of a new musical 'Petrified,' is scheduled for private performances at Cap21 studios May 19th and 20th. Part comedy, part drama, part satire with a lot of heart, 'Petrified' is the story about a middle-American family trying to keep their lives together during this century's Great Recession.

Today Contemporary musical theatre songwriters Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar have digitally released their debut album, '#Love (Live).

On August 19th, emerging writing duo Lyons and Pakchar recorded their debut album # LOVE live at The Cutting Room. The 11-song record, infusing Pop/R&B and theatre, explores the good, bad, and awkward roller coasters in human relationships and is due for a release in Fall/Winter of 2013. Tonight, July 29th at 10pm NYC will get Exposed. The Cutting Room will host a night of music and poetry exposing some of NYC's best unknown and established performers. The concert is a platform encouraging these artists to display their original work to the public without apology.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival will present a one-night-only concert of new music by up-and-coming composers Josh Freilich and Nikko Benson on Monday, July 22nd at 9:00pm at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre. With its unforgettable songs and a cast of gamblers, gals and gangsters, GUYS AND DOLLS is musical entertainment you can bet on. Press night is scheduled for October 31 at 7:30pm.

When you're dealing with a musical version of a classic like 'The Little Mermaid,' it becomes nearly impossible to botch a show enough to give viewers reason to hate it. You still have all the popular songs that everyone loves to sing along with (including one adorable little girl sitting in the back on opening night), and you have the iconic characters that we all love so much. Still, for avid fans of the movie or those who had complaints about the Broadway version of 'Mermaid,' the Sacramento Music Circus production of 'The Little Mermaid' doesn't quite live up to the hype.

Disney's The Little Mermaid, the hit Broadway musical based on the popular animated film, will have its West Coast premiere at Wells Fargo Pavilion for a two-week run from July 10 - 22. This Disney family favorite, part of the 2012 Music Circus season, features the popular songs 'Part of Your World,' 'Under the Sea,' and 'Kiss the Girl.' Tickets start at $30 for all performances, with specially-priced children's tickets available in any seating section.

The Ottawa premiere of Disney's THE LION KING opens this Saturday, July 16th at 8:00 PM at the National Arts Centre for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, August 7th.
