VS. THEATRE COMPANY has announced its first production in its permanent new theatre, COPS AND FRIENDS OF COPS, written and directed by Ron Klier. COPS AND FRIENDS OF COPS will preview tonight, April 24 & Thursday, April 25 at 8pm and will open on Friday, April 26 at 8pm and run through Saturday, June 1 at the new home of VS. Atlantic Theater Company has announced that Olivier and two time Tony Award winning playwright John Guare will make his Off Broadway acting debut in the world premiere production of his new play 3 KINDS OF EXILE, directed by Atlantic artistic director Neil Pepe, featuring Atlantic ensemble members Peter Maloney and David Pittu and guest artists Alison Cimmet, Jeffrey Kuhn, Jacquelyn Landgraf, Martin Moran, Kate Rigg, Omar Sangare and Timothy Splain.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today eight plays to be developed at the 2013 National Playwrights Conference (NPC).

The Flea Theater will present the world premiere of a cautionary tale by playwright christopher oscar peña. Directed by Flea Resident Director Benjamin H. Kamine (Thomas Bradshaw's Job), previews begin May 29 with opening night set for June 10.

Keen Teens, the educational theatre partnership between Off-Broadway's Keen Company and the theatrical publishing company Samuel French, has selected the writers for the program's seventh season: Jonathan Caren, Madeleine George, and Anna Moench, who have been commissioned to write thirty-minute, large cast plays, which will be produced with student actors Off-Broadway.

In honor of World Theatre Day (today, March 27th) an Around the Globe Chain Play will be presented at the Lark Play Development Center. Starting and ending in NYC, a play will be written as it travels around the world making 16 stops with playwrights from across the globe.

Academics, Christians, and witches alike have all tried and failed to describe the mysteries of the soul... So shall we. Core of the PUDEL runs tonight, March 23-25 at Links Hall (3435 N Sheffield Ave).
