Cape May Stage, South Jersey's premiere Equity theatre, will welcome back two of their favorite performers: husband-and-wife team Michael Tucker and Jill Eikenberry. Well known as the stars for eight seasons of NBC's "L.A. Law," the couple returns to Cape May Stage in "Mike's Shorts": a series of tales weaving the couple's love of food with their love for each other. Join them on their journey at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse on August 27th at 8pm.

The Castillo Theatre is presenting four winning scripts from the 2012 Mario Fratti-FrEd Newman Political Play Contest, selected from over 200 entries including submissions by playwrights from around the world. The plays are being directed by distinguished theatre professionals and will be presented on Mondays, beginning tonight, August 6 and continuing August 13, 20 and 27 at 7:00 p.m.

The Castillo Theatre is presenting four winning scripts from the 2012 Mario Fratti-Fred Newman Political Play Contest, selected from over 200 entries including submissions by playwrights from around the world. The plays are being directed by distinguished theatre professionals and will be presented on Mondays, August 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 7:00 p.m.

The 19th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival presents the New York premiere of Miss Lilly Gets Boned by Bekah Brunstetter, starring Jessica Dickey (Wit on Broadway, The Amish Project) and Liz Wisan (Other Desert Cities), along with Brian Belcinski (My Base and Scurvy Heart), Adam Blodgett (The Cotillion), Sanam Erfani (Cats Don't Grin), Aaron McDaniel (Aquila's Macbeth), David Rosenblatt (The Play About My Dad) and Chris Thorn (Guthrie's Henry V). The play, directed by David F. Chapman, opens tonight, July 18 and continues through July 21, 2012. Check out photos from the production below!
Semi-finalists Announced for 37th Annual Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival

Samuel French Inc. Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival announces the 40 semi-finalists for its 37th annual season. Chosen from over nine hundred submissions by playwriting workshops, university theatre programs, and professional companies both in the U.S. and abroad, these 40 plays will be presented October 23rd-27th with finals on Sunday October 28th at the Beckett Theatre, Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street). Out of these plays, six finalists will be chosen by the Samuel French, Inc. editorial staff to receive publication and licensing contracts.
Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts' Fall 2012 Classes Open for Enrollment

Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA), the company's professional training school, has announced its Fall 2012 schedule of classes now open for enrollment. ESPA will offer new classes including Comedy Writing, Advanced Libretto and Lyric Writing and Dialects 2: Russian. ESPA will also be offering two new workshops: Writing for TV: Making the Transition from Stage to Screen and The Pilot. Additionally, Tanya Barfield, whose show The Call is part of Primary Stages mainstage 2012-2013 season, will be teaching a special workshop, Finding Your First Draft.

Ice Factory 2012 takes place at the New Ohio Theatre's new West Village space at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City.
