'LOVE SONGS' continued to seduce New Yorkers every Saturday evening for the last number of weeks, on Saturday, March 28th, Barbour played his final concert before heading into rehearsals for Paper Mill Playhouse's 1776. He was joined by special guests including John Schuck, Georgia Warner, Jessica Grové, and Aaron Ramey. SARDI'S is located at 234 West 44th Street - between Broadway & Eighth Avenue.

The special guest are list has been announced for James Barbour'S HOLIDAY CONCERT at Sardi's (234 West 44th Street - between Broadway & Eighth Avenue). The series of evenings begins tonight, December 20th. The starry list is as follows, Brandi Burkhardt (December 20), Natalie Toro (December 23), Derek Keeling and Kate Shindle (December 24), Jodi Graham (December 26), Deborah Gibson (December 27), Marla Schaffel (December 30), Marc Kudisch (January 2), Natalie Toro and Kevin Earley (January 3), and film and stage star Jack Noseworthy (January 4).
The Concert is at 8:30 pm. THE HOLIDAY CONCERT will play at Sardi's through Sunday, January 4th where it intends to become an annual event. It is being presented by Treehouse Entertainment, Inc. and Roberta Nusim for TMA (Theatrical Marketing Associates).

Angela Robinson is Shug while Withers-Mendes is On-Leave

Original The Color Purple Broadway cast member, Elisabeth Withers-Mendes, who has played the role of Shug Avery since the musical began performances at the Broadway Theatre in November 2005 and throughout its entire record-breaking run, will begin a hiatus from the role on Thursday, January 31, 2008. The Tony nominated actress will return to the role for the final two performances of The Color Purple on Sunday, February 24, 2008. Beginning on Friday, February 1, 2008, Angela Robinson assumes the role of Shug Avery while Withers-Mendes is on leave.
