FX has ordered the first season of Atlanta, a half-hour series created by and starring Donald Glover, it was announced today by Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, the Presidents of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions.

Yesterday Julianne Moore hosted an afternoon tea in honor of Tony nominee LaTanya Richardson Jackson, currently starring as Lena Younger in A RAISIN IN THE SUN. Held at Lady Mendl's at the Inn at Irving Place, an impressive group of women from theatre, film and television, including LaTanya's fellow Tony nominated costars Sophie Okonedo and Anika Noni Rose, gathered to salute LaTanya. Although she was unable to attend, First Lady Michelle Obama did send a note which was read aloud by Julianne Moore after Ms. Moore made a toast to LaTanya. Samuel L. Jackson and Bart Freundlich crashed the party to enjoy the afternoon with their wives.

The 13th annual Tribeca Film Festival, co-founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, and presented by AT&T, announced the winners of its competition categories tonight at a ceremony presided over by Pat Kiernan and hosted at the Conrad New York in New York City. The Festival runs through April 27, 2014.

The 2014 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by AT&T, today announced its jurors – a diverse group of 33 industry leaders, including award-winning filmmakers, writers, producers, acclaimed actors, respected journalists and entrepreneurs.

Hope Davis, the actress currently reprising her role in GOD OF CARNAGE at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, may soon be seen by television audiences in HBO's newest series, 'Spring/Fall'.

The Tony Award-winning actor Billy Crudup opened the world-premiere of Adam Rapp's play THE METAL CHILDREN, last night, May 19 at the Vineyard Theatre. The show, also directed by Rapp, began previews May 4. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the opening night arrivals.
