The official opening night for Polly Draper in MY BRILLIANT DIVORCE, took place last Saturday night at Bay Street Theatre. Geraldine Aron, the playwright for this American Premiere attended the after party in the lobby along with other theatre veterans including Blythe Danner, TEd Hartley and Dina Merrill, John McDaniel, Terrence McNally, Joe Pintauro, Mercedes Ruehl, Sloan Shelton, and Harris Yulin. The show runs now through Sunday, June 24. The production is directed by Matt McGrath, one of Bay Street Theatre's Artistic Associates.

Ana Gasteyer, from SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and SUBURGATORY and Brian d'Arcy James from the new hit series SMASH performed to a sold-out crowd last night, May 26, at Bay Street Theatre. " Gasteyer and James mingled with the crowd, including actress Blythe Danner, at the post-show VIP soiree. Bay Street Theatre held its First Annual Honors Benefit last night with some of the biggest names of the stage and screen converging at the Manhattan Penthouse in New York City to honor Joy Behar, AdriAnne Cohen and John Downing, all members of Bay Street's Board of Trustees. The evening was capped off by an amazing performance by the one and only Liza Minnelli to a standing-room only crowd. View photos below!

ENTER LAUGHING, The Musical, the hilarious production, began previews on August 9 with a standing ovation after the brilliant and much appreciated performance.

Award-winning author of Passages, Gail Sheehy, new play was presented by The Workshops at Bay Street Theatre last Saturday, May 14.

Bay Street Theatre celebrated the kickoff to its 20th Season with a Spring Benefit on April 3. The event was themed around Truman Capote, who is the subject of the first Mainstage Show beginning May 31 entitled TRU, starring SNL'S Darrell Hammond; directed by Judith Ivey. The event started with a brunch with Darrell Hammond at The American Hotel, followed by a champagne toast, raffles, piano music back at Bay Street Theatre and the screening of BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, based on the book by Truman Capote. One lucky attendee won the raffle for a new silver beaded Tiffany & Co. necklace donated by a patron for the event. There was also a contest for the best Audrey Hepburn costume. Attached is a photo of all the Audrey Hepburn costume entries. The winners won a framed set of photos of Audrey Hepburn and a book about Hepburn provided by Canios Books.

The Best of Broadway and Cabaret came out to support the Actors Temple (est. 1923) on Sunday, November 21, 2010. Located at 339 West 47th Street, this theater district landmark has fallen on hard times in recent years and so member, producer Randie Levine-Miller spoke to Rabbi Jill Hausman and said, 'Let's put on a musical -- benefit!' The rabbi was delighted, so Randie reached out to some of her theater and cabaret friends, and voila! The concert took place at the temple at 7:30 PM with 18 extraordinary (many award winning) performers: (in alphabetical order) Raissa Katona Bennett, Christina Bianco, Len Cariou, Douglas J. Cohen, Eric Comstock, Jamie deRoy, Barbara Fasano, Beth Fowler, Anita Gillette, Jackie Hoffman, George S. Irving, Alice Levine, Kurt Peterson, Wade Preston, Steve Ross, Cheryl Stern, Sal Viviano, Martin Vidnovic. Dennis Buck was the musical director. Producer Levine-Miller was the host the event. Legendary members of the congregation included: Joey Adams, Jack Benny, Milton Berle, Red Buttons, Eddie Cantor, George Jessel, Al Jolson, Sandy Koufax, Jack E. Leonard, Danny Lewis (Jerry's father), Joe E. Lewis, Tony Martin, Ritz Brothers, Edward G. Robinson, Sophie Tucker,William B. Williams, Shelly Winters, Henny Youngman.

Bay Street's Summer Gala, recognized as 'Best of the Best - Event of the Year' (Dan's Papers, 2007, 2008 and 2009), has several new twists this year that are sure to keep guests entertained all night long! Mario Cantone (Sex & The City) will bring his comedic talent as Host to this star-studded event which will include cocktails, dining, dancing, and auction all set against the background of the stunning bay and moonlit sky. Guests can enjoy either a sit-down dinner or a special new feature this year; a lounge seating area in which revelers will receive passed tapas throughout the evening. Both the dinner and tapas will be catered by Sterling Affair Caterers. Music and entertainment will be provided by celebrity DJ Tom Finn, named 'The King of Spin' by Avenue Magazine. Finn has kept the dance floor bustling at fabulous parties including the MTV Music Awards, Oprah's 50th Birthday Party, and even The White House Millennium Bash! On Monday, March 1, The Friars Club presented their annual musical evening, Divo Night, with some of theater's most celebrated talent. Produced by Randie Levine-Miller. the event featured Len Cariou, Jim Brochu, Tom D'Angelo, Martin Vidnovic, John De Marco, Myles Savage, and Sal Viviano, with musical direction by Paul Chamlin.

The American Theatre Wing and XM Satellite Radio proudly present an interview with designer turned director Tony Walton on their weekly theatrical interview show, 'Downstage Center,' on XM's On Broadway (XM Channel 28). To air January 4 at 6PM and January 5 at noon, January 6 at 7PM and January 9 at midnite

The world premiere of Simeon's Gift took place on Friday, November 23 at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor. The show is written by Julie Andrews and Emma Walton Hamilton with music by Ian Fraser and lyrics by John Bucchino. Maricia Milgrom Dodge directs and choreographs.

Rose Billings & the Board of Governors of The National Arts Club presented the medal of honor to legendary stage designer, Tony Walton, at their cocktail and dinner ceremony 'A Night the Shining Stars Come Out' on Sunday November 18.
