The New Black Fest and The Lark, two theater organizations dedicated to celebrating and advocating for stories that explore the intersection of art and social justice, are proud to announce the fifth annual The New Black Fest at The Lark. As reported in Deadline, visionary director Ava DuVernay is set to direct the upcoming screen adaptation of THE NEW GODS, from DC and Warner Brothers. The comic book based story, from creator Jack Kirby, will get the film treatment with a script from Kario Salem.
